–New and updated mx-apps

system-keyboard and system-locale options allow easy access to configuration of system default keyboard and locales management
Updates to MX Package Installer, including faster performance, flatpaks, and Popular Apps entries.
mx-installer (based on gazelle-installer) now includes LUKS encrypted root, home, and swap partition options.
mx-codecs updated to install updated S3 texture packs (important for Valve/Steam games in particular)
(most mx-apps have already updated thru the standard update channel)

Improved localization
almost all mx-apps received translation updates (we love translators!)

New conky configs (conky-manager for selections)
lightdm-gtk-greeter (the login screen) now has locale selection options
Thunar custom actions updates:
use default text editor for “Edit as Root” rather than a hard-coded editor
add sha hash verification option
removed “Change Owner to…” actions

Known issues with beta: nvidia drivers in the main repo may not build against the new kernel. New nvidia-drivers will be moved to main closer to Final Release of MX18.

If posting hardware issues, please post the output of the terminal command “inxi -F” or use our “Quick-system-info” from the menu, at a minimum.

If posting nvidia-installer issues, please post the contents of /var/log/ddm.log.

If posting remaster issues, please include the contents of /var/log/live/live-remaster.log

If posting issues with MX-PackeageInstaller “Popular Apps”, please post contents of /var/log/mxpi.log or /var/log/mxpi.log.old (whichever contains the log of your issue).
