The proprietary Brother scanner driver for the MFC doesn't appear to work any more in MX16, even though it seemed to install properly using the standard CLI commands I've been using for all my distros. I tried rebooting with no success.
Tried the scanner in MX15 to compare. Xsane, simple scan and gscan2pdf can all locate and identify the Brother scanner device.

In MX15, I enabled the MX15 test repo and noted the following scanner-related packages had updates. I'm not sure if any of these updates found their way into the main repo of MX16.
