Re: MX-16.1 now available

Is it the Japan flag on the panel? This is a keyboard switcher (fbxkb): https://cdn.scrot.moe/images/2017/06/09/VirtualBox_MXLinux_09_06_2017_14_26_01.jpg It is not displayed in English. It is because the standard keyboard is English only. https://cdn.scrot.moe/images/2017/06/09/VirtualBox_MXLinux_0...

Re: MX-16.1 now available

:bongodrums: Congratulations! I shot an installation movie in Japanese and released it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0h2fo_YsIEY During that operation I encountered a problem with MX package installer which failed to install LibreOffice language packages. It is probably temporary due to the diffe...

Re: MX 16.1 beta iso for testing

The download of archive.org from Japan was about 20 minutes. It may change with time.

SourceForge (antiX) has a mirror in Japan, it is the fastest.
Achive.org seems to have less downloading time than MX Snapshots and MX Respins.

Re: About translation of Japanese translation

FIY: Mr. fu-sen admitted his translation works is based on machine-translation services such as Google Translation on ubuntu-translators ML. It means his translation works mostly suspected to have license violation. AFAIK Japanese translators of Ubuntu and Linux Mint decided to revert his translati...

About translation of Japanese translation

I'm sorry. I need to stop translation work. I was pointed out a violation of the Launchpad regulation by using Web translation in Ubuntu translation: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-translators/2017-February/007309.html Translation of MX Linux (and antiX) uses Transfiex, so it is not direct...

Re: Rolling Release

Do you know the Debian Backports Installer and Test Repo Installer included in MX Tools? It allows you to install newer versions of packages on MX Linux. https://cdn.scrot.moe/images/2017/02/10/MX-16-testinstall.md.jpg You may wish to read up on SolydXK distro, which started life as a rolling Debian...

Re: grub-customizer_386 dies on startup

I am using the GRUB Customizer on 32 bit PC.
It will start without problems.
The problem seems not to be caused by the package.

I started the grub-customizer from the terminal.
As a result, the output was different:
