You could try setting the browser like this as well: Open terminal, su to root, and enter update-alternatives --config x-www-browser and enter the browser you want. Log out and in and try again. Are you sure that you have enough free space in partition where MX Linux ? Are you sure that your installed RAM is working properly (free error RAM) ? Open your computer and clean it. @penquin, That's my practice. It's usually quicker to return to a known working snapshot than try to fix the damage.
