I have solved my problem by reinstalling mx linux. Honestly, I'd expect a reply like this: "Thank you all guys, I've solved... " Both this thread and this https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?f=104&p=522503#p522503 are live examples to the importance of checking the sum of the iso and neglecting...

Make sure you aren't stuck at updating from the test repos. It happened to me once, and my solution was to use Timeshift. Never really found out how it got stuck on the test repos, I only downloaded one app.

Came out of nowhere? Then he lists a bunch of 'buntu based distros because they are based on Debian even though they are 'buntus which are then based on Debian.... The guy doesn't know what he is talking about, IMO.

Well, I just did an update and upgrade through the terminal, and the icon is gone again.Is there a way to place it back on the whisker menu (well above it), or should I timetravel back again to get it?

It doesn't work, at least not in any RPi that I have. It's not designed for ARM
