nice find. easy fix. I'll fix for next iso, but in the mean time, edit the "Open root thunar here" custom action and change the command to

Code: Select all

mx-pkexec "thunar %f"
That will give you the same problem, so best to put the quote around just the "%f" bit.

Code: Select all

mx-pkexec thunar "%f"

Re: Web browser suggestion

Give that Pentium and Pentium 2 are longer even supported by the kernel, I think your list of lightness needs some revisions. The p3 and p4 are at the bottom. Although the p4 is probably still a little better than the early atom processors. When did they drop support? I was under the impression tha...

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback

Well, the problem no longer appears on a later version of OpenOffice right? I'd say that's a fix. I suspect it was a bug in LO itself that got fixed in a later version. From what you and JayM posted, and from what I saw on my tests, LO segfaulted and there was nothing spat out by AppArmor that sugge...

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback

I agree, but what puzzles me is that this issue is only present on the live system and not the installed system even with AppArmor enabled. So the important thing here is to figure out what's going on with the live system that's causing the segfault. EDIT: LibreOffice 6.3 works on the live system wi...

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback

@JayM: does LO run on the installed system? When I tested it it works on the installed system. All lines you posted say that AppArmor allowed the operations, but to test if AppArmor is blocking anything you could reboot and add "apparmor=0" to the kernel command line.

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback

On MX Date & Time > Hardware clock: Time zone for Hardware Clock shows neither choice checked. Yet one is functioning (UTC by default IIRC) and should already be checked IMO. The man file to hwclock says this will show which: -l, --localtime -u, --utc Indicate which timescale the Hardware Clock is ...

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback

That's a known issue with the most recent version of the installer (19.9.05). You can check which version you have by running: minstall --version
The previous build (19.9.03) does not have this problem and is the one included in MX 19b2.1 so, just this time, try it without updating the installer.

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback

MX Date & Time only runs when you run it, and will only change system settings when buttons are pushed. There are some known issues that are being worked on and should be fixed in an update soon.

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback

I've just tried the new MX Date and Time application from the latest updates. It's very slick! Thanks, I'm glad you like it! There are some bug fixes in the pipeline, so check for updates within the next 1-2 days. Presumably the MX Time Settings application will be removed in the future? Chris That...
