@Friedrich
Thanks,I'll keep this in mind. Currently dual booting Manjaro and MX. The former has no Printer Driver, the latter no nvidia, go figure. Looking forward to MX19.
That failed. Let them close this thread, I'll open another later.

Re: [Solved] System is freezing

@Stevo
Sorry seems complicated compiling kernels with drivers, a bit much for me when I can use what I have. Thanks anyway.

Re: [Solved] System is freezing

You might be able to build the wi-fi driver from a newer kernel which supports your device for the 4.9 kernel, though you may have to do that every time Debian updates the kernel. They used to call it "wireless-compat", but I think they changed the name. So the first thing is to find out exactly wh...

Re: System is freezing

Cool!! (and Quiet, haha!) We've identified the cause (sort of: see the last paragraph.) If you want to be able to use Cool'n'Quiet to make your CPU run cooler and its cooling fan be quieter, what you need to do is install the 4.9 kernel like this: Open MX Package Installer, enter the root password ...

Try it using WiFi, it worked for me. Also I could not use a USB stick, ended up using CDRW. Hopefully this will all go away when MX-19 comes out.

Re: Press any key takes me back to menu

As they say, whomever they are, there is more than one way to install a system. I tried a DVDRW with manual partitioning and esp, guess what? Can you say [Solved?] Good you found another way. The aforementioned issue happens only on LiveUSB with DD-ISO mode, if the USB stick is not hd0. When bootin...
