Re: Cannot install MX-18 (HP Laptop 15-bw022la)

Maybe Stevo can help you with the kernel stuff. He is a whiz. If it works then we might want to add it to our kernels or something. I wonder if it has already been added to the main branch of Linux? Yes, Stevo has also helped me in the past with issues I thought unsolvable. I don't really know if t...

Re: Cannot install MX-18 (HP Laptop 15-bw022la)

A wifi solution is posted here Realtek Semiconductor RTL8723DE Device d723 issue . It involves building an rtlwifi_new driver from this git repo . Hi BitJam, I tried the first solution and rebooted, but it was not effective. The second one gave me this: $ sudo dkms build rtl8723de/5.1.1.8_21285.201...

Re: Cannot install MX-18 (HP Laptop 15-bw022la)

About the internal wi-fi: Device-2: Realtek driver: N/A That's really weird that it doesn't show anything. Does it show up in the output of "lspci"? Hi, This is what lspci shows: 00:00.0 Host bridge: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Family 15h (Models 60h-6fh) Processor Root Complex 00:00.2 IOMMU...

Re: Openshot No LADSPA plugins were found

What version of Openshot are you using? The one that you can install with MX Package Installer? If so, let me tell you that in the past I had lots of problems with that one, trying to set up the path for Blender. Fortunately, Stevo compiled a new version (Openshotqt), which is in the test repo. I've...

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot install MX-18 (HP Laptop 15-bw022la)

@Bitjam, Sure; I'll try MX-17 later. I didn't happen to have any iso available at the moment. I'll download it and try it soon. This is the result of inxi -F (running XFCE): System: Host: Violett Kernel: 4.9.146-antix.1-amd64-smp x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: Xfce 4.12.3 Distro: antiX-17.3.1_x64-full Hel...

[SOLVED] Cannot install MX-18 (HP Laptop 15-bw022la)

MX boots fine. However, when I log in, the wi-fi is not active and after some minutes of using the system, it freezes to the point that I have to press the power button to shut down. I've tried to boot from USB and DVD with the same results. Other distros have had worse luck, by the way. Processor: ...

Re: Snapshot is great!!!

Snapshot has saved me lots of time and trouble when it comes to installing MX. Just today, I made a snapshot of my mother's system, just in case. And I've seen how it has become easier to use, even with more features added! Thanks a lot, developing team!
