Re: [SOLVED] anydesk update install error

It installed with no errors so the Quick Fix was not needed in my case.
Still have here the issue with Anydesk 5.1.1 amd64, so need to do:

Code: Select all

sudo chmod -R 755 /usr/share/anydesk
sudo chmod 755 /var/lib/dpkg/info/anydesk.p*
sudo dpkg --configure anydesk
sudo apt-get install -f

Re: CERN Accelerating science!

@danielson ... Hopefully not necessarily, it's just a simple observation, but why, is it your point of view?

Re: CERN Accelerating science!

@danielson: Are you dreaming? no synomyms here, only a pragmatic fact , I mean inside the kernel and the hardware (ex: the microcodes for the cpu, also amd, some wifi cards etc) no?

Me thinks that it is more than just a money issue.
With all the billions they spend on digging holes back there in France/Switzerland... a few million (at most) would not even be a pinch for CERN.
... And Microsoft in already inside the linux kernel now ( via some blobs).

Re: "Fixing" problem USBs

... Too many roads to "Fixing" problem USBs ;-)

Here I used "udiskie -nt" with success for some issues with some usb keys.

Had a bug with antiX-19-b1-full (32 bit) with kernel 4.9.176

Code: Select all

dmesg -k -l emerg,alert,crit,err
[ 14.122823] cgroup: cgroup2: unknown option "nsdelegate"
...
fixed it with grub parameter: "systemd.legacy_systemd_cgroup_controller quiet"

Re: antiX-19-b1-full (64 and 32 bit) available

^---- that's a dicey (roll the dice, subject to being changed) approach toward enforcing a strict security policy, unless you also pin the package that installed that file. Otherwise, its permissions will be automagically changed back to 755 when you next update its package. ... Yes I know, but I a...

Il y a un tuto pour MX17/18, faire déjà:

Alt+F1, puis Ctrl+f , puis taper wifi ... tout y est expliqué normalement.

Re: antiX-19-b1-full (64 and 32 bit) available

He, he, automount gets up my nose - especially when I'm trying to install antiX - have to turn it off & unmount everything by hand. 9_9 I always turn it off, but I can understand why it is the default - other O/S users are lost without it! :p ... Like you, I do not like automount-antix, so I do a c...
