Re: Advice needed to conect two comps diverend cities

The easiest setups are often something like the simple Desktop sharing in Zoom , Skype or similar. If you are trying to do remote systems management, then things get a bit more complicated (sometimes a 'lot bit'). :lipsrsealed: Depending on your objectives, here are some thoughts, options, ideas: ht...

Re: annoying change in Whisker

As a guy who lives in both worlds... I have to say I have encountered no "new features" in Whiskermenu either in manjaro or MX. All is well in whiskermenu land for me anyway.. ;)

Re: Hide Dropbox icon in Notification Area

rich Are you suggesting to clear the known applications (list)?

I have done that before (by mistake). I make lots of those. I have to say the panel was much smaller afterwards.

I think apps come back after updates, don't they? (I won't test this. ;) I'm just not up for that one. )

Re: Hide Dropbox icon in Notification Area

I seem to remember reading somewhere (although I can't find it via Mother Google) if you start Dropbox manually rather than via autostart, it may not appear. But when I tested that it did not change anything. Sorry. :frown:

Re: Hide Dropbox icon in Notification Area

For good or ill... here's what my version of xfce4 holds for the Notification Area, there's no Dropbox. My system tray does show Dropbox with, as Rich said, no easy way to remove it.

How did you get Dropbox in the notification area? It's normally a standalone app in the panel (on my installs...) :alien:

Re: MX LXQT-kwin11 Spin

Hi Prime Realist 8 I have spent a bunch of time on the LXQt site forums. One of the devs there has made numerous serious recommendations for those wishing to run LXQt on a Debian base (I include ubuntu in that crowd). I think you may find that forum helpful in your quest!. I know I have. To give you...
