Re: Dedoimedo Praises MX-18 on His 10-year-old EeePC Netbook

There are two solutions at distro level: 1. when you run a update (manually or automatically) the update antix keyring is downloaded -- no need to visit the forum or do anything special 2. we released 18.2 that has the updated key "shouldn't happen" -- yeah we agree, but for example Google key just ...

Re: Choosing boot partition in installation process

You need to format that partition as a Linux partition (ext4 for example)

BTW, that's not the ESP partition, this is confusing because "boot" can be used as a verb, or can mean something else, this is just where to put the /boot folder on root or in a separate folder.

Re: Who is using SSD's?

I promised myself to never use rotational HDD if possible. Nowadays SSDs are pretty cheap for decent size and even for larger size (which I don't typically need) they are not that expensive anymore.

Why is the "Fix GPG keys" script not fixing this? Can we make it work?
It (checkaptgpg) was created to fix NO_PUBKEY errors, not expired key errors.
Can we add this functionality, sounds like a good idea (obviously it would work only once Google release a new key).

Re: Countdown from 100 --> #1

I care in the sense that MX is not even known to many people. When people ask on different forums "I need a distro that works great as a USB stick, I need persistency, what should I use?" I see a lot of responses but rarely people say "Use antiX or MX" which are the queen and king of distros when it...

Re: MX menu editor Hide option not working

It works for me for at least for some apps. Which app do you try to hide?
