Re: Repo error on update.

Yes, you are missing a /debian/ in your repo, this is the correct source:

Code: Select all

deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ stretch-updates main contrib non-free
So edit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/debian-stable-updates.list and add the correct source.

Re: MX live usb maker error

Thanks, although you didn't do what I asked for, I said run "live-usb-maker", not "mx-live-usb-maker"... if you run the CLI tool "live-usb-maker" directly we might get more useful info other than "Error code: 100" Also, you need to run "live-usb-maker" inside MX, it's not a Mint tool, so not sure wh...

Re: How do I upload an image?

Especially from screenshots I simple use the Screenshot tool and upload to Imgur, screenshot provides the code to add in forum, very easy.

Re: Repo error on update.

Why don't you post your repo info "inxi -r" (I think something is wrong, the URL seems to wrong, I think you miss a "debian" in path there's no such thing as http://ftp.us.debian.org/dists/stretch/updates/main/binary-i386/Packages). Compare your sources to the original sources https://github.com/MX-...

Re: Mirror Down??

But since you asked what I'd like ;) you could have the Select fastest Mirror for me button execute " sudo netselect-apt -s -n stretch " and offer the results of its mirror selection (for debian); then let people select the radial option. When you are in "Debian repos" if you click "find fastest re...

Re: Mirror Down??

I was simply fooled into believing that the MX Tools Repo (pick a fast mirror) was working and would give me a fully functional mirror, which it didn't. Oh well. ;) As I explained, it does work and it provides the response to the question "which one is the fastest?" it just doesn't check for ...

Re: Mirror Down??

mx-repo-manager uses "netselect" to find the closest and faster mirror, Anycast mirrors.evowise.com is only 10 hops away from me and responds in 2 ms, it's by far the BEST in this respect. However, HOWEVER, are you really interested to get a 2ms response from a mirror or a 10ms or 20ms would be perf...

Re: Live usb maker doesnt list my flash disk

I wonder what's your lsblk version, "lsblk --version" same command works for me in Vbox for example

Code: Select all

adrian@mx:~$ lsblk --nodeps -nlo name,size,model,vendor
sda 39.1G VBOX HARDDISK ATA
sr0 1024M CD-ROM VBOX

Re: Request: Add a bottom GUI cursor for mx-packageinstaller

I added a change to save the last window size and location, can you re-download and install again (I didn't bump the version).
Window geometry is saved in ~/.config/MX-Linux/mx-packageinstaller.conf so you can delete that if you want default size/location.

Any other app that has this problem?
