Just another 'the sky is falling' type article. We all know that computer attacks are on the increase. What's interesting about the article is what's missing in its content:

-- there's no mention oh how the attackers were able to get access to the original code of the packages in order to make their changes

-- there's no mention on what actions the maintainers took to prevent this happening again

-- there's no information given on what actions the maintainers took after the fact to mitigate the damage: were patches issued? were admins told to download a clean copy and then re-install?

All in all, not a great piece of journalism.
