Hello Dolphin,
Watched the recent youtube podcast on which you were a guest - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXl159FkfSA. I agree with the two hosts that a) you are a good ambassador for MX16 and b) MX16 continues to gain its well-deserved popularity. It will be interesting to see the review that Rob said he will be doing on MX16.

Thanks. It was fun. Those guys are pretty good guys and they really let me run away with things a little. It was only supposed to be a 15 minute segment! i wouldn't even have got the invite without the rest of the dev team and all the work they do putting mx together and making it so good. I just happen to be out in public on youtube

FYI: mx "test" repo is not the same thing as debian testing repo.

Great interview! I'm glad you mentioned the Live tools of antiX / MX I think that's one of the best thing we have over other distros.

Adrian, I agree the MX tools feature is a point of (fine) distinction and as I have said on more than one occasion before (and I continue also to spread the word about MX16), this distro is an absolute gem. Over the past 20 years, I have seen many distros and almost without exception they look good when first installed and then the lack of an abiding stability inevitably comes into the equation. Too often, trying to find one's way back from there is hard enough to make one go running back to Windows. MX16 though, especially with those excellent twin tools, of snapshot and live usb creation, stands apart. In the 6 weeks or thereabouts that I've been using MX16, I have had three crashes that, because of the aforementioned back up routine, has never been a real problem for me. I should note here too that those crashes possibly aren't going to happen to every new user for the crashes I refer to have chiefly been as a result of me "pushing the envelope" in exploring every nook and cranny of the distro. There have been many distros that claim to be great for anyone migrating from Windows but in my opinion, MX16 is the ultimate and I have little doubt that if those of you who are developers and core team members continue on the track you are on, Distrowatch et al one day won't be able to help but trumpet MX16 as an ideal solution.

Finally got to see this--awesome job, DO! Over 3/4 of an hour makes for great advertising, and you have a terrific presence.

BTW: I hope asqwerth is feeling good about this, b/c those guys spend a lot of time praising the theming and she was the Prime Mover.

Agreed. It's a scruffy-cool type of charm and charisma :number1:

Awww...thanks for the compliment, but there was an Art Team of about 7 persons.

And different members did different things, e.g. coding of the Default Look tool, tweaking of gtk theme, resizing and modifying wallpapers, packaging and compressing the icon and gtk themes, etc.

I merely identified the issues and art elements that Jerry and I felt could be worked on within the timeframe we had, got the discussion going on the issues so we could decide on direction, and then got the team to nominate artwork candidates* for voting within certain deadlines.
