What is the MX Linux logo?

I've had a quick look online but couldn't find anything. Is it an X standing behind (or in front of) two mountains? Does it have any particular significance?

I like it and all, just curious.

It always appears to me as a "Mill" :) Though I guess it's an X of "light-rays" :) emerging behind "Pyramids"
When asking for help, please first : Menu => MX Tools => Quick System Info
Even no need to select & copy. The output will get in the clipboard automatically, just paste.

MX logo comprising it's 2 origins, ie mepis and anti-X
Mepis logo is the 2 pyramids looking like mountain and anti-X has X symbol, so fusion of both logo makes MX LOGO.
By the way, MX stands for M from Mepis and X from anti-X.

It was slightly modernised some time later:

I believe the "X" is significant to MX as MX = MEPIS + antiX. The X in the logo signifies that merge.
When you compare the two it's like playing noughts and crosses. The old MEPIS logo is the nought, the new MX logo is the cross.

If I remember right from the Mepis days, it was actually a twist in Memphis Egypt, hence the pyramids.

Warren Woodford, creator of MEPIS, lived in the South and once heard an old-timer pronounce Memphis as "Mepis", and he decided to call his Linux the same. At least that's his story. Some cities along the Mississippi River are named after Egyptian ones, such as Cairo, Illinois, and of course Memphis, and that's where the Egyptian meme comes in.

Let's say that it is just an "M" in case this crazy idea ever succeeds: https://www.ipwatchdog.com/2008/02/19/e ... ds/id=117/
