I have 2 Fire tablets, 2 Alexa devices, and 2 Fire Sticks with Alexa, so syncing comes in nice when I want to use text-to-speech.

Agreed. In addition to project Gutenberg, I find It's also worth checking the internet archive for epub, pdf, kindle etc., downloads > https://archive.org
