I would got ahead and get them up and changed. We've been in the distrowatch "new releases" area since yesterday.

Would probably use this if the theme was not always dark, (depressing)
Do users ever look at the great big Welcome screen at all?!

Yes, I am still hoping for an announcement, also would be nice to see a full announcement on distrowatch.

Regardless, well done the devs :number1:

Edit: Thanks for fixing the forum, Rich.

We're all waiting for DistroWatch--I sure hope anti sent it to them!

I am also waiting for the mirrors to fill, and for something from Dedoimedo.

I want to say big thank you to all dev. team and testers. Mx 16, in my opinion, one of the best distro around. Smooth and stable experience. Here my current installation.

A big thank you to all the developers, packagers, and testers who have made this, and previous, MX Linux releases a success! MX-16 runs like a charm--smooth, stable, and doesn't tax my PC's resources. For philosophical reasons, I prefer to stay closer to the Debian base than *buntu or Mint, and with the very active MX packaging team providing additional backports I feel the software actually stays fresher than the typical LTS releases. I've played around with MX-15 in a VM and an older desktop over the past year, but I think I'll give MX-16 a go as a daily driver for the time being. Thanks again for all the hard work to turn out a quality OS!

Up on distrowatch and we now broke into the top 100 for last 6 months. :happy:

Re: MX-16 Final: Boot: Actualization failed

Congratulations! Great effort on the part of all the devs, packagers,
the manual writer and the graphics department! It really is a lovely first look.

Actualization didn't work for me while installing
MX16_x32-Final on Acer Aspire One netbook., AA1 AOA150(ZG5), 1G RAM;
DualCore Atom N270, 1.6Ghz, Intel graphics, Hitachi HD 160 G

Tried using the Actualization feature, install over MX15 and save home.
Seemed to install OK, asked again if I was reusing/saving /home.
Even though I said yes, it doesn't seem to have worked.
No error during install, but when reboot, here is the result:ImageCtrl-D just brings about a reboot and back to the same point.
Curious what it says about e2fsck and that /dev/sda2 has unsupported features(s): metadata_csum
It is a fairly recent install of a 32bit snapshot. Probably just me? I'll try it on 64bit later.
Since I had said not to overwrite /home, I tried it again on the same partition, sda2, and got the same result.

So, enough playing around, Metamorphosis is now installed on the netbook.
Although I like the Adwaita-Xfce Dark Thick and Papirus Dark GTK, I have to go
back to Greybird-mx16-thick-grip style and Adwaita icons since the Adwaita-Xfce styles
completely fail to display the Network & System monitors in the task bar.

NB: antiX19b2full-xfce; MX18.3: AsusTek EeePC 1005HA: Intel DualCore Atom N270, 1GB RAM, 4.19.0-5-686, 150GB HDD

@Richard, my simple idea would be disable fsck in fstab temporarily, boot with a live CD, mount sda2 and replace "0 1" with "0 0" in the line with sda2. (Further troubleshooting would require a separate topic, I guess.)
MX-14 on a Via Eden 1GHz CPU thin client, 3GB RAM, Via VX800 chipset, Via Chrome9 HC GPU, 32GB M.2 SSD;
btrfs with @ and @home subvolumes for MX-14;
added @antiX and @antiXhome subvolumes and copied antix 13.1 base into them, adjusting Grub from MX-14.
