It is possible some cosmetic changes ?

#1 Post by penguin » Sat Feb 25, 2017 3:46 pm

First. In the Mx Tools>1- Install From Repo also in 2- Debian Backports Installer, the installed packages are shown as Greyed Out Items(disabled items). For more clear visibility ,the gray color can be changed in blue or dark blue ?

Second. It is possible in 2 about mentioned :
to filter out only Upgradable Packages ? Hint - Small tick - Show only Upgradable Packages
to Filter Out Only Installed Packages
to Filter Out only packages that are not installed.

In the Mx Tools > Package Installer ,installed softwares/packages are Greyed Out but also are enabled (they must be disabled as in Install From Repo and Debian Backports Installer)

Thanks in advance !

It's doable, I might do it over this weekend.

Changes ready for testing, sent you a PM.

I remembered that in mx-packageinstaller we allow the grayed out to be installed on purpose, because the program doesn't detect the version of the packages (and it would be difficult to do because packages are installed from various sources) you should still be able to run install for grayed out items to be able to do an upgrades, if the version is the same it simply re-installs the package (which also might be useful sometime) otherwise it will install the newer version.
