What's the meaning behind the codenames for MX and antiX?

Sort-of on the same subject:
what is the meaning of antiX? Does it imply an opposition to X, and if so, what is X?
And what does MX stand for?
Just curious, not taking sides, especially since I don't even know what the sides are...
antiX is developed by someone called anticapitalista, which is perhaps a reference to a political stance, plus a play on the word 'antics'.

MX arose from the demise of Mepis, with a lot of code from antiX, so it's from the first and last letters.

I thought it also referred to "antiques", as in old machines.

Planet X was a menace to the galaxy until antiX eliminated the threat. The name stuck anti-planet-X

Core install will answer this question for ya rickey tick.

where ram challenged dudes can
If you want to keep RAM usage as low as possible, you can choose one of the min- options. There is no wallpaper, no desktop icons, no conky and no applications running in the panel.
